Tonight I’m going to the climbing gym to test rock shoes. They can be pricey so this is an excellent opportunity to try on a few pairs before purchasing. Yup, I’m excited about cramming my tootsies into an overly tight leather restraint and scaling the vertical walls. Had it not been for the posting on FB, I’d know not about the demo opportunity. The climbing gym has been getting much better with their social postings - and from what I see, the gym is getting heaps busier too! They weren’t very consistent, structured or informative in the past. Their postings now have a purpose and communicate in an authentic honest voice. Crazily enough, although I now consider myself a video specialist, I had a hand in this. A while back, the gym reached out and asked if I had any tips on social media I would share with them. They knew me from my days as a marketing specialist so I dug into my hard drive, found the document on Social Posting Best Practices, and sent it to them. This document included what-to-consider before posting, ideas on what to post and the prerequisite do’s and don’ts. With a ton of work, you could find all this information scattered across the web, but here it is, all neatly organized for you. http://www.picturestoryproductions.com/uploads/1/1/0/3/11036882/social_media_handout.pdf How you use this four page document is up to you. Some of the info can be put into immediate use, some require a bit of thought. Share if you like, it's all yours. Have a great day - see you at the gym tonight!
